“It all started with a few simple meetings with WWF. At a point where I did not have in-depth knowledge about Climate Change issues and how exactly it would affect not the industrial sector but also the lives of each of my countrymen. With this beginning, I got involved more and more with the concept of corporate sustainability and how Business and industries need to incorporate sustainable business practices into their core work.
Chaudhary Group has always traditionally been a big supporter of giving back to the society and making changes happen at the grassroots level being involved in 50 CSR programs currently. Climate Change is such an issue which has global to local impacts. It will affect every one of us regardless of geography, caste, creed, profession. As I learned more about how global warming will affect Nepal and other countries that depend on the Himalayas for Water Resources, it hit me more and more, why I should be involved in raising my voice about this cause.
I as a concerned businessman should be talking about this issue. I, as a young Nepali citizen should be talking about this issue. Thereafter I committed to myself that I would do everything, as an individual as well as through my Company, to support Campaigns like Climate for Life, which is bringing the Himalayan people together to raise one voice for this cause.

About Nirvana
Born in March 1982, Nirvana Chaudhary is currently the Executive Director of the most renowned chain of industries in Nepal – "The Chaudhary Group". With a wide variety of education level from Nepal to Singapore and India to England, he is a man of many gifts. From being a musician to a member of the National Squash team, he’s into a diverse range of activities. He has been awarded Nepal’s Youth Award and many such prestigious
